Since childhood, I have felt deeply drawn to plants, the rhythms of nature, and handmade objects that carry not only a practical function, but memory as well. In my family, knowledge of medicinal herbs, closeness to nature, and respect for materials were simply part of everyday life. Perhaps this is where my work with plant-dyed silks, textiles, and medicinal herbs originates.

I am Nikoletta Szakács, textile designer.

In a world increasingly filled with noise, speed, and artificial stimulation, many of us instinctively long to return to things that are slower, more sensory, and more human.

I believe that our bodies still remember the rhythms of nature. The scents. The touch of soft textiles. The quiet arrival into the evening.

This is why I create my wedding silk ribbons, event textiles, and herbal silk eye pillows not merely as objects, but as invitations into a quieter world.

I do not wish to bring back the past. Rather, I seek to restore the connection with nature, with materials, and with ourselves — a connection we seem to have lost somewhere along the way.
